Brandkind People: Sanna Ra
Sanna Ra is the latest addition to the Brandkind Team. She is all about planning and creating marketing- and corporate communications with a focus on sustainability and responsibility.
Diamonds are created under immense pressure
Sanna has a background in both journalism and communications for NGOs. After her years of working abroad in countries such as Egypt and Israel/Palestine as a foreign correspondent and working with NGOs such as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Sanna developed a deep interest in all matters related to social responsibility and sustainability. So, as you can imagine with her background, working in the fast-paced high-pressure world of advertising is proving to be a cakewalk for her.
With us, she continues to develop her understanding of efficient communications surrounding sustainability and ESG matters as a big part of her repertoire. She is currently in the process of obtaining her diploma from Aalto University’s Professional Development program, specializing in project management and sustainability. It was through this program that we were originally lucky enough to become acquainted with her. Brandkind is always happy to welcome new people with fresh perspectives and strong professional backgrounds.
There are a lot of good stories waiting to be told
She’s a communications professional that has seen first-hand all the good that NGOs have been doing in terms of social and environmental responsibility. “If we are to change the world for the better, that change will be in the hands of corporations to large extent. Many Finnish B2B companies are already doing a lot, and in many cases leading their respective industries in ESG-related improvements. I want to be a part of telling that positive story to a greater global audience,” Sanna explains when asked about her leap into the world of B2B marketing communications.
Also, I’m loving the chance to put my creativity and love of writing to work. Being a part of such a creative team is also very inspiring to me. It brings the best out of everyone, ultimately translating into the best possible outcome for you, our clients.
Her journalistic background gives her two skills that serve her well in her new role; a strong understanding of the power of storytelling and a sharp mind that thrives on asking questions and digging deep into the details and backgrounds behind the story. In her new role as Communications Coordinator, she focuses on both high-quality content and timely project execution. She is a very hands-on person that is not afraid to roll up her sleeves and take charge of any project thrown her way.
